Sheila Chutskoff - Founder, Co-Owner

A born entrepreneur, Sheila Chutskoff is the founder of oranj fitness, as well as a yoga instructor, public speaking guru and goal coach. When Sheila graduated from Royal Roads University in 2002, she immediately started working at lululemon athletica what was then a small, privately owned yoga apparel company. In the beginning, lululemon had less than 100 employees and only four stores. Sheila worked with lululemon for more than six years, during which time she helped take it from four stores to over 150. Her blissful lululemon life consisted of managing stores, being the regional marketing manager for Western Canada and working with all of lululemons Olympic athletes. In October 2007 Sheila decided to venture out on her own and achieve her long-time dream opening her own studio oranj fitness. Sheila has spent more than seven years coaching staff and friends on how to achieve their goals. Her true passion is seeing everyone around her succeed in life. A person who is achieving his or her own goals in life is a happier employee, friend and loved one too. In her day-to-day encounters with people, Sheila makes it abundantly clear how much it means to her that she see them succeed.

Elisha Brattebo - Yoga Instuctor

Alison Evin - Yoga Instuctor

As a teenager, Alison first learned about yoga from a dusty book sitting in her parents' basement: a woman in a blue spandex suit demonstrating the classic Sun Salutations. She became instantly curious and went on to develop her own personal practice for several years, taking classes with many teachers in various styles such as Ashtanga, lyengar, Bikram, Yin, Acro, and Ariel yoga. However; she did not fully understand the depth of what yoga had to offer until her first trip to India where she stayed at an ashram for some time. Here, Alison realised the true meaning behind this ancient practice; yoga is beyond the physical. It is not just an exercise, it is a complete way of life. Since then, Alison has returned to India several times to complete a 300 hour yoga teacher training and Diploma in Ayurveda and Panchakarma practices. She is also passionate about sustainable living and most recently completed a Permaculture Design Course in Europe. After spending a few years abroad, Alison is happy to be settled back home in the Kootenays and ready to help others discover their own path to wellness by sharing her experiences and knowledge from around the globe.

"My aim is to make yoga and Ayurveda available to all! In this ever changing world, we must learn to walk hand with nature. By healing ourselves and becoming mindful of our actions, we become in tune with out surroundings. Thus self awareness could be the key to restoring our planet and giving way to a more loving and nurturing society. Let us all be inspired to take care of our bodies, our community and our planet through this holistic and sustainable approach to life!"
