Our Kelowna studio is conveniently situated downtown on Lawrence Ave. We offer a wide selection of fitness, spin, dance and yoga classes taught by our community of world-class instructors. We offer about 100 classes every week, so there are plenty of great options to choose from and ways to get involved. Keith Lanouette

Keith teaches boot camp and spin at oranj fitness. His classes are high energy, fun and challenging for every fitness level. Keiths boot camps are focused on weights, cardio intervals and awesome, ever-changing music. His spin class is a crazy, non-stop aerobic blast thats sure to make you sweat. When teaching his classes, Keith believes strongly in bringing lots of laughter, fun and accountability to the table while kicking your ass at the same time. So come and join Keith for laughs and a lift, spin or sweat!

Amanda Morazain

Amanda Morazain has been in love with Zumba for the past five years! She started taking lessons at oranj when it opened and is now proud to be on the team of leading fitness instructors in Kelowna. Amanda danced as a child, but soon switched gears to train as a vocalist. Dance found its way back into her life as an adult and she hasn't let go of it since! Along with Zumba, Amanda also loves to dance Latin, hip hop, and burlesque. She has two lovely children who have grown up at Oranj and an awesome best friend for a husband.

Becky Heinitz

Becky currently a student at UBCO finishing her degree in human kinetics, and can guarantee you a wicked class. Known amongst her friends and family as a complete health nut, fitness is something she is passionate about. Becky is a huge fan of boot camps (BURPEES!), hiking, Moksha hot yoga, and a shes a spin fanatic. She discovered spin five years ago and was instantly hooked! She is a certified group fitness instructor and came on board teaching boot camp and booty kickinspin classes in Kelowna. Becky is all about setting and breaking goals, pushing limits and getting you out of your comfort zone. Youll never know unless you give it a shot,she likes to say! Along with loud music and watching people achieve their goals, Becky likes high fives, sweating, and smiling faces. 

Dana Skoglund

Dana Skoglund moved to Kelowna in 2009 after living and teaching in New York City for 10 years. With over 1,000 hours of training, she is Advanced Certified in Jivamukti and is currently working towards her Anusara yoga certification. Dana's knowledge of alignment, therapeutics and philosophy combined with her love of inversions and arm balances will take your yoga practice to the next level. You will work hard and have fun!

Elise Dunn

Elsie began ballet when she was the young age of three. She took part in RAD ballet exams, studied with the Canadian School of Ballet and danced into her early twenties. Health and body awareness have always been present in Elise's life. She has a background in teaching ballet, aerobics and has also lightly touched on her personal training certificate. In her spare time Elise enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, snowboarding and snowmobiling. Elise thrives on expressing herself through movement and activity, and is passionate about encouraging others to do the same. Elise teaches many different styles of yoga at oranj and has her 300-hour Maya Yoga certificate.

Holly Klinger

A native to the Okanagan, Holly Klinger's love of fitness started at age six, when she was a competitive swimmer. Upon entering university, she decided to leave the competitive swimming world and refocus her dedication on training for sport as a certified fitness instructor and strength trainer. Holly has been involved in the fitness industry for the last 15 years, teaching group fitness, private training and coaching in Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria and Greece. During that time she has taken an interest in such specialties as spinning, kickboxing, athletic training, and now sports conditioning. Along with teaching an average of eight fitness classes a week, working as a teacher for School District 23 and coaching two junior athletic teams, she volunteers at many local events and charities. Hollys inspiration comes from her coach's words "never accept that where you are is the best you can be, there is always a new level that can be reached and there is always something more you can do to get there, there are no limits." Holly currently teaches boot camps and spin at oranj.

Jackie Derickson

Jackie was born and raised in Kelowna, where she played every sport imaginable growing up. v, while earning Over her years of high school and university, Jackie discovered her interest in health and fitness. After she graduated, she began working at oranj fitness as front of house staff. Naturally, her passion for fitness continued to climb during that time and before she knew it, she was teaching classes. Now five years later, she has completely fallen in love with spin class and is obsessed with creating the most epic music playlists. Jackie just cranks the tunes and GETS IT DONE! Along with spinning four days a week, Jackie also teaches a Grade 3 and 4 split class at Sensisyusten School. She has her two dream jobs, and she is so grateful she can do them both simultaneously. Her students keep her laughing and her faithful spinners keep her motivated to be the best instructor she can be.

Jordan Thiessen

For the past 6 years Jordan has been working with special needs students at an Elementary level. He's a NASM group fitness trainer and certified Oranj Cycle instructor. When Jordan isn't in the studio teaching or attending classes you can find him out enjoying all the Okanagan lifestyle has to offer.

Christina Aaron

Christina was born and raised in Kelowna, BC and recently moved back here from Fort McMurray where she taught in our oranj studio there for 2.5yrs.  She is married to her amazing husband Matt and they have three wonderful children.  Christina is co-founder and managing director of her own kids fitness company,  Shine Kids Fitness.   Starting Shine is a dream come true for Christina.  She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from UBC Okanagan and extensive experience working with children of all ages in a variety of settings.  In December 2014 Christina completed her 200 hour yoga teacher training with world renowned yoga instructor Nicki Doane.  Christina is committed to helping people be happy and healthy and to love their own unique selves.   Christina has also completed children’s yoga certification. Christina absolutely loves being a part of the oranj family and can’t imagine her life without it.



Clint Pratch

Clint's motto in life is to live now!! Is there any other time to live? You can't live in the future or the past... Clint has been a fitness trainer for quite sometime now, and he loves it! He loves to help people see their potential when it comes to their health and fitness and couldn't imagine working in any other industry! He has traveled all over the world and worked as a fitness instructor on cruise ships, but there is no where he'd rather be then in (West) Kelowna. Clint loves funny words on t-shirts, chicken wings, pop squats, push-ups, soccer, stupid jokes, bootcamps, and his family! Clint definitely doesn't take life too seriously (except in bootcamp) and you will get a great work out in his class! He states that "fitness is a state of mind. It's a lot easier to feel fit when your body feels fit! So get your butt into one of my classes! Trust me, your butt will thank you! But not literally, I hope, as it would be weird if your butt could talk #Aceventura".

Laura Martini

With over 1000hrs of yoga teacher trainings under her belt, Laura Martini is one of our Master Yoga Instructors who has worked for the studio since inception.  Born and Raised in Kelowna, Laura is an avid Kripalu Yoga instructor and holistic health counsellor.  She is also once of our yoga teacher trainers!  With a degree in cultural anthropology and history, Laura shares her passion for people through her dynamic yoga classes. Her other interests include hiking, her dog, traveling, Havarti and brie cheeses, as well as reading about far away times and places. Laura is especially passionate about teaching athletes, and had the opportunity to work with many of them in Whistler during the 2010 Olympics. The core values Laura lives by are fun, integrity, and compassion. She teaches several classes, including Easy, Happy Medium, "These hips don't lie," Power and Hardcore Yoga

Michelle Blackford

Michelle has been a personal trainer and group fitness coach for over 12 years, and has completed her 200-hour Maya Yoga teacher training as well as Level 1 Mat Pilates. Michele has taken the leap from being a restaurateur to a full time fitness coach. When Michelle is not at work you can find her paddle boarding on the lake, hiking up Knox Mountain, doing yoga at one of Kelownas beautiful beaches or frolicking at the park with her two lovely children Gabby and Liam.  Michelle is also known as Badass Blackford, because she teaches a mean boot camp, fierce spin classes, core-filled Pilates classes, gentle yoga classes, and butt-burning barre classes. You name it, Michelle can teach it! That is, unless you happen to name Zumba, or Sexy Dance Time. But she would still try!

Shauna Nyrose

Shauna is one of our yoga teacher trainers who has been enthusiastically practicing yoga for more than eight years, and completed her 200-hour Certified Yoga Alliance training with highly regarded teacher trainers, Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini of Maya Yoga.   Gently infused in the classical teachings of Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vinyasa-inspired systems, Shauna delivers a powerful, alignment-based teaching style appropriate for all levels. Over the past three years, she has studied and received over 1,000 hours of teacher training. Her students love her quirky sense of humour, approachable nature and her ability to translate the teachings of yoga into contemporary life practice. When not in the studio, Shauna maintains a career in marketing and is mom to two amazing kids who give her many opportunities to practice off the mat what she preaches on it.

Lindsay Cousins

Lindsay has been passionate about movement since the day she walked and could enter a dance class. She danced her way through childhood training in ballet, tap, jazz, highland, and modern, and spent her teenage years dancing professionally for The Royal Winnipeg Ballet and representing BC and Canada at National & International championships! Upon graduating from high school, Lindsay moved to Victoria and attained a degree from UVIC in Psychology focused in Health. From there she graduated with a second degree in Education and has since been a teacher for SD23 for 10 years. During her time as a teacher, it became very clear to her that Physical Education and Dance were her favourite subjects to teach! Naturally, after having her own 2 children, Lucca & Alora, she longed to teach these disciplines to adults. Lindsay is certified in Group Fitness and also has the accredited Barre training! She is a great quality to our Oranj family teaching a killer spin class and a booty-busting barre class!!

Tina Mandl

Tina started dancing when she was growing up in Smithers, British Columbia and fell in love immediately. She has studied many different disciplines including ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre and modern, while excelling in hip-hop and contemporary dances. Tina started competing and student teaching when she was 13 and shortly after moved to Kelowna where she trained with Reflections Dance Studio and danced through high school at Kelowna Secondary School (KSS), where she also took on the role of dance team captain in her senior years. Since graduating, Tina has been a guest instructor and choreographer for the KSS dance team as well as for recreational classes. She traveled to Israel during the summer of 2008 to teach jazz and musical theater for a summer dance school in Tel Aviv. In September 2010 Tina completed her Zumba training, and in 2011 finished her Maya Yoga teacher training. She is also the dance manager for the local production company Wet Ape Productions, as well as the founder and producer of Femme Fatale Dance Troupe. Tina is the owner of oranj fitness Kelowna, where she teaches Sexy Dance Time and Barre Method.

Alanna Hotchkiss

Alanna has been training clients and teaching a variety of fitness classes at Oranj since her graduation from the Human Kinetics program at UBCO in 2015. Since then she has been working non-stop with an amazing group of devoted fitness junkies and those new to fitness ranging in all body types and exercise backgrounds. She specializes in muscle toning and strength gains, fat loss, sport and event-specific training, boosting energy, increasing flexibility and range of motion, and has her pre- and post-natal fitness specialist designation. Alanna is looking to not only support you through personal training but ensure you reach your goals through motivational support in and outside of the gym!


Kaitlyn McKay

Kaitlyn is entering her 4th year Human Kinetics majoring in Health Promotion studies at UBCO and has always had a passion for health and fitness.  She is completing half of her 4th year at Arizona State University to further her education in health and wellness and nutrition.  She has completed her Group Fitness and Barre certifications.  Aside from working up front and teaching spin, Kaitlyn can be found in any of Oranj's unreal classes!  She also teaches dance, basketball, and sports camps for the City of Kelowna.  Kaitlyn has played basketball her entire life competing at the BC Summer Games and playing on BC Regional and Provincial teams.  Kaitlyn has also been a dancer since the age of 3 dancing for the Canadian School of Ballet, Pacific Interior School of Dance, and Reflections Dance Studio.  Kaitlyn is currently part of the amazing Femme Fatale dance group. Come check her out for spin on Wednesdays and Sundays at 9:15!!  She promises you will leave sweaty and smiling!!! 

Janine Trudeau, BHK

After a decade as a personal trainer, sport instructor and group fitness leader Janine was drawn to the amazing results and functional benefits of the Pilates method. With over 15 years experience as a fully certified STOTT Pilates Teacher and Instructor Trainer Janine now specializes in Pilates based programs for postural alignment, core stabilization, shoulder, neck and back care, pre and post natal health, hip, knee and foot function and sport application.

Janine's Pilates journey has taken her around the world offering teacher training courses and workshops throughout Europe. She has trained international ballet dancers, worked as a Pilates conditioning specialist with National Sports Teams in Canada (sailing) and Norway (golf), and assisted with corporate Pilates wellness programs. Janine is also certified as a golf fitness expert with Titleist Performance Institute, is a 200 hr trained Hatha Yoga Teacher and holds a Bachelors degree in Human Kinetics from UBC. Her goal is to help students of all age and background to improve and understand correct movement patterns, joint function and deep muscle stabilization techniques to re-balance the asymmetries in their body. When pain and compression is replaced with stable, balanced strength and mobility, endless potential exists for improving sport performance and enjoying a fit and active lifestyle.

Janine teaches Pilates here at oranj and is also available for private training sessions.

Lindsey Crosby

Lindsey's yoga practice began in 2001, as a teenager with back pains from competitive ski racing. She longed to become a teacher as her practice grew stronger, and her back pain melted away. Upon leaving the military, selling everything she owned and living out of her truck while traveling across North and South America with her husband and dog, she found Kelowna and knew this was the place where she could finally fulfill this passion of hers. She finally had the time and opportunity to delve deeper into her practice and gert her 200hr YTT at oranj fitness, a place where she's happy to now teach and call home. Lindsey teaches so she can share her journey with others and guide them to find their own. She teaches because she loves her practice! Lindsey's classes incorporate strong, dynamic movements for students to connect body and mind. If you're craving a powerful class, her Vinyasa Flow is for you!

Jen Thompson

Jen’s lifelong passion is to maintain a healthy lifestyle to enjoy quality of life and to achieve her personal best. Jen believes that the practice of yoga contributes greatly to this passion, which she enjoys sharing with others.

Jen’s interest in yoga started as a teenager when she taught herself various yoga poses from a book. Throughout her military career, she practiced yoga to supplement her overall fitness to meet the high standards set by the Royal Canadian Air Force. While serving in Afghanistan for a year, she volunteered to lead twice-weekly yoga and deep relaxation sessions, which became popular among the security forces as a way to augment their fitness programs and relieve stress – although most of them fell asleep as soon as Savasana started!

When she retired from the Air Force and moved to Kelowna in 2014, Jen knew that she wanted to deepen her yoga practice. Upon completion of the 200-hour Yoga Alliance Teacher Training course with Oranj in 2016, Jen began substitute teaching with Oranj and now has yoga classes of her own.

Come and try her gentle, mindful approach to yoga, mixed with laughter and self-acceptance. It is never too late!

Kennedy Koren

Kennedy completed her 200hr Certified Yoga Alliance training at oranj fitness in 2016, under the guidance of incredible teacher trainers Shauna Nyrose, Laura Martini and Kaitlyn Fluery.

When Kennedy isn’t at the studio she pursues her other passion, working in the salon and spa industry as a hair stylist and makeup artist. She enjoys spending time in nature, hiking, travelling to warm places, and quality time with friends and family.

With a determination to support her students on their yoga journey, Kennedy’s classes are designed with the intention to guide each individual toward balance, clarity and ultimately deep self-love. Her classes are uplifting and offer something to students of all levels. Her own personal journey and training - which is ever-evolving - has led her on a path to living life in joy, love and gratitude.

Tessa Lovset

Tessa began her journey into yoga in January 2013.  After successfully quitting smoking, looking to establish new and healthy habits, she searched for a physical activity to occupy all her newfound spare time (with the added hope that it would help her pants fit more comfortably).  Armed with a smile for confidence and the company of a friend she came to Oranj Fitness for Tina Mandl’s Easy Yoga class and was immediately hooked.  Vowing to overcome her new personal nemesis, Chaturanga Dandasana, she took a deep breath, bought some black yoga pants and never looked back.

Upon hearing about Oranj’s YTT offering she knew it was something she needed to do for herself, never imagining it would result in joining the amazing family of teachers and staff at Oranj.  Though her choice in clothing may be dark, her attitude is anything but.  Come check out Tessa’s classes and find strong alignment, lots of twists, smiles, laughter and sweet tunes.  Whether you are looking for a hamstring stretch or want to delve deeper, just find your breath and realize that yoga truly offers something for Every Body!!

Nikki Jinks

Nikki grew up in Edmonton, Alberta and moved (upgraded) to Kelowna in 2014 to pursue an education in Human Kinetics at UBCO. Since then, she has fully embraced the #okanaganlifestyle. When Nikki’s not teaching you can find her hiking, snowboarding, golfing, or on the lake. While she continues to pursue her undergraduate degree, Nikki is also a CFES Group Fitness Instructor and a Yoga Alliance 200hr Yoga Teacher. A firm believer that finding hobbies and social networks that support healthy lifestyles results in LIFE LONG active habits. Get outside and have some fun in the sun or snow, and spend your indoor workout time doing classes that you love and truly enjoy.

Shauna Bradbeer

Shauna began her fitness career Personal Training clients after graduating with a B.Sc in Exercise Science in 2002. After ten successful years she took time off to spend with her three young kids and recently moved to Kelowna. As a way to share her passion of fitness and impact more peoples' lives she began small group Personal Training and teaching fun, challenging bootcamp and cycle classes. Shauna strongly believes that our bodies are meant to move, having worked with individuals suffering from chronic pain, neurological disorders and post injury rehabilitation, she has seen the benefits that exercise can do to improve the daily life of many. When she is not teaching or attending a class at Oranj you'll find Shauna exploring some of the fun things that the Okanagan offers, most notably the wineries and beaches.
