Keith Lanouette

Keith teaches boot camp and spin at oranj fitness. His classes are high energy, fun and challenging for every fitness level. Keiths boot camps are focused on weights, cardio intervals and awesome, ever-changing music. His spin class is a crazy, non-stop aerobic blast thats sure to make you sweat. When teaching his classes, Keith believes strongly in bringing lots of laughter, fun and accountability to the table while kicking your ass at the same time. So come and join Keith for laughs and a lift, spin or sweat!

Amanda Morazain

Amanda Morazain has been in love with Zumba for the past five years! She started taking lessons at oranj when it opened and is now proud to be on the team of leading fitness instructors in Kelowna. Amanda danced as a child, but soon switched gears to train as a vocalist. Dance found its way back into her life as an adult and she hasn't let go of it since! Along with Zumba, Amanda also loves to dance Latin, hip hop, and burlesque. She has two lovely children who have grown up at Oranj and an awesome best friend for a husband.

Becky Heinitz

Becky currently a student at UBCO finishing her degree in human kinetics, and can guarantee you a wicked class. Known amongst her friends and family as a complete health nut, fitness is something she is passionate about. Becky is a huge fan of boot camps (BURPEES!), hiking, Moksha hot yoga, and a shes a spin fanatic. She discovered spin five years ago and was instantly hooked! She is a certified group fitness instructor and came on board teaching boot camp and booty kickinspin classes in Kelowna. Becky is all about setting and breaking goals, pushing limits and getting you out of your comfort zone. Youll never know unless you give it a shot,she likes to say! Along with loud music and watching people achieve their goals, Becky likes high fives, sweating, and smiling faces. 

Chelsea Ray

Just after completing her degree in psychology, Chelsea was ready for a profession but she felt lost and couldnt pinpoint just what that would be. She felt there was more out there for her than what she was living. Only having dabbled in yoga before, teacher training seemed overwhelming, yet alluring. With borrowed courage and a few kind words from her man, she took the training, mainly with the goal of expanding her own personal practice. But as her passion for yoga grew, so did her desire to share it. Yoga has given her access to what she was searching for, which was something that was inside her the entire time. Now she works to cultivate that voice inside and help others hear their own. Currently working on her second degree in holistic nutrition, Chelseas path has changed considerably. And every day she is grateful to the people who have taught her, as well as those she can teach.

Dana Skoglund

Dana Skoglund moved to Kelowna in 2009 after living and teaching in New York City for 10 years. With over 1,000 hours of training, she is Advanced Certified in Jivamukti and is currently working towards her Anusara yoga certification. Dana's knowledge of alignment, therapeutics and philosophy combined with her love of inversions and arm balances will take your yoga practice to the next level. You will work hard and have fun!

Elise Dunn

Elsie began ballet when she was the young age of three. She took part in RAD ballet exams, studied with the Canadian School of Ballet and danced into her early twenties. Health and body awareness have always been present in Elise's life. She has a background in teaching ballet, aerobics and has also lightly touched on her personal training certificate. In her spare time Elise enjoys hiking, biking, swimming, snowboarding and snowmobiling. Elise thrives on expressing herself through movement and activity, and is passionate about encouraging others to do the same. Elise teaches many different styles of yoga at oranj and has her 300-hour Maya Yoga certificate.

Holly Klinger

A native to the Okanagan, Holly Klinger's love of fitness started at age six, when she was a competitive swimmer. Upon entering university, she decided to leave the competitive swimming world and refocus her dedication on training for sport as a certified fitness instructor and strength trainer. Holly has been involved in the fitness industry for the last 15 years, teaching group fitness, private training and coaching in Kelowna, Vancouver, Victoria and Greece. During that time she has taken an interest in such specialties as spinning, kickboxing, athletic training, and now sports conditioning. Along with teaching an average of eight fitness classes a week, working as a teacher for School District 23 and coaching two junior athletic teams, she volunteers at many local events and charities. Hollys inspiration comes from her coach's words "never accept that where you are is the best you can be, there is always a new level that can be reached and there is always something more you can do to get there, there are no limits." Holly currently teaches boot camps and spin at oranj.

Jackie Simmons

Jackie was born and raised in Kelowna, where she played every sport imaginable growing up. v, while earning Over her years of high school and university, Jackie discovered her interest in health and fitness. After she graduated, she began working at oranj fitness as front of house staff. Naturally, her passion for fitness continued to climb during that time and before she knew it, she was teaching classes. Now five years later, she has completely fallen in love with spin class and is obsessed with creating the most epic music playlists. Jackie just cranks the tunes and GETS IT DONE! Along with spinning four days a week, Jackie also teaches a Grade 3 and 4 split class at Sensisyusten School. She has her two dream jobs, and she is so grateful she can do them both simultaneously. Her students keep her laughing and her faithful spinners keep her motivated to be the best instructor she can be.

Jenny Large

Jenny grew up dancing in Kelowna at the Canadian School of Ballet, where she took ballet, tap, jazz and musical theatre as well as competitive gymnastics. Jenny moved to Vancouver to become a registered massage therapist and further expand her dance training, which led her to dive into Latin and hip hop. She lived in Mexico for three months and salsa danced everyday before coming back to Canada, having two children and starting to work out at oranjwhere she took Zumba five times a week, along with all the other great classes. Jenny now teaches hip hop, jazz, tap and acrobatics at the Canadian School of Ballet, as well as through City of Kelowna and School District 23. Jenny is overjoyed to be teaching at oranj, where she brings an amazing cardio and booty burning Zumba class to the Sunday schedule!

Kaitlynn Fleury

Ever since childhood, Kaitlynn has been drawn to healing and had an affinity for sharing with and teaching others. Following her passion, in 2005 she earned her massage therapy diploma with honours from the Alberta Institute of Massage then founded her own company, Fluidity, shortly after. Her motto, Heal. Love. Inspire,reflects her sincerity, as well as her unique style and effective delivery all of which have earned her a diverse and loyal clientele. In 2008, Kaitlynn was approached by A.I.M to instruct anatomy and physiology and is currently teaching the advanced diploma program there. She also freelances as an educator with a compendium of other classes such as therapeutic taping and hot stone massage.  When you join one of Kaitlynn's yoga classes, you will be welcomed with her comfortable and fun style thats suitable for all levels as well as her positive spiritualism and killer mix of great tunes! Expect to lighten the load, de-stress, look within, push your limits and leave your mat metamorphosed!

Keara O’brien

Keara believes exercising should be easily accessible, exhilarating, and loads of fun. But at times it can feel like a chore, and people often just don't challenge themselves to their full potential. Thats why Keara loves teaching group fitness, as it offers a supportive outlet for people to exercise. Keara is a recent grad with a Bachelor of Human Kinetics, and it now a registered kinesiologist. Since achieving her degree, he has also certified in weight training, personal training, spin instruction, and group fitness. Through her personal fitness journey, Keara has learned to challenge her own limits and reach goals she never knew possible. With group fitness she carries over her own passion to motivate and train people towards their best physical health, whatever that might be! You will find Keara in the boot camp or spin room ready to work. Her classes are full of upbeat music, individualized training, and intense sweating.

Laura Martini

With over 1000hrs of yoga teacher trainings under her belt, Laura Martini is one of our Master Yoga Instructors who has worked for the studio since inception.  Born and Raised in Kelowna, Laura is an avid Kripalu Yoga instructor and holistic health counsellor.  She is also once of our yoga teacher trainers!  With a degree in cultural anthropology and history, Laura shares her passion for people through her dynamic yoga classes. Her other interests include hiking, her dog, traveling, Havarti and brie cheeses, as well as reading about far away times and places. Laura is especially passionate about teaching athletes, and had the opportunity to work with many of them in Whistler during the 2010 Olympics. The core values Laura lives by are fun, integrity, and compassion. She teaches several classes, including Easy, Happy Medium, "These hips don't lie," Power and Hardcore Yoga


Michelle Blackford

Michelle has been a personal trainer and group fitness coach for over 12 years, and has completed her 200-hour Maya Yoga teacher training as well as Level 1 Mat Pilates. Michele has taken the leap from being a restaurateur to a full time fitness coach. When Michelle is not at work you can find her paddle boarding on the lake, hiking up Knox Mountain, doing yoga at one of Kelownas beautiful beaches or frolicking at the park with her two lovely children Gabby and Liam.  Michelle is also known as Badass Blackford, because she teaches a mean boot camp, fierce spin classes, core-filled Pilates classes, gentle yoga classes, and butt-burning barre classes. You name it, Michelle can teach it! That is, unless you happen to name Zumba, or Sexy Dance Time. But she would still try!

Rachel Doell

Rachel's drive and passion in fitness stems from the inspiration she gets from the people around her. Her desire to change the face of fitness and how people view it on a daily basis shows in her fun and innovative classes that always leave you wanting more! She has been teaching group fitness for more than six years, and is a certified personal trainer. Her areas of specialty are spin, boot camp, core training and barre. She also enjoys developing and chiseling her arms in yoga.

Sarah Fraser

Sarah Fraser has been working in the fitness industry for more than 12 years. Her passion and dedication to teaching and training began with the martial arts when she was 15. Over the years her focus has evolved, leading to certifications in yoga, weight training, personal training, sport-specific training and, of course, kickboxing. Her time spent working with a variety of fitness levels and age groups has given her the skill to accommodate multi-level classes. Sarah has a down-to-earth personality, but is not afraid to push her clients when they are straying from their goals or need to be challenged.

Shauna Nyrose

Shauna is one of our yoga teacher trainers who has been enthusiastically practicing yoga for more than eight years, and completed her 200-hour Certified Yoga Alliance training with highly regarded teacher trainers, Nicki Doane and Eddie Modestini of Maya Yoga.   Gently infused in the classical teachings of Ashtanga, Iyengar and Vinyasa-inspired systems, Shauna delivers a powerful, alignment-based teaching style appropriate for all levels. Over the past three years, she has studied and received over 1,000 hours of teacher training. Her students love her quirky sense of humour, approachable nature and her ability to translate the teachings of yoga into contemporary life practice. When not in the studio, Shauna maintains a career in marketing and is mom to two amazing kids who give her many opportunities to practice off the mat what she preaches on it.

Shawna Cruz

With a life-long passion for fitness and just getting outside be it in the sun, surf or snow Shawna has been inspiring group fitness participants for more than 15 years. She became certified and began teaching fitness classes in her university years and then continued to teach while maintaining a career as a lawyer, and later as a business consultant. Shawna has taught both at home in Vancouver and abroad in places like Australia and Thailand. Her experience lies in a diverse repertoire of class formats, ranging from spinning, to boot camp, strength and conditioning, stretch as well as a wide variety of cardio classes that are both choreographed and free flow. Shawna also recently made a significant lifestyle change that has included quitting her day jobto stay home with her little wee one, and moving with her husband, daughter and dog to beautiful, sunny Kelowna.

Siobhan McManus

Siobhan's goal is to create an amazing and educational experience for her clients through her knowledge of many disciplines and extensive experience in the health and wellness industry. She ensures that her classes suit the audience, while being fun and motivating. Although in a group setting at oranj, Siobhan is always attentive to the individual needs and goals or everyone who attends her classes. She is happy to hang around before and after to chat with participants individually to give them expert advice. Siobhan has been in the fitness industry in a number of capacities for more than nine years years, including: personal training; training and mentoring personal trainers; while also creating and managing a commercial fitness equipment sales distributorship company. Her clients know she is knowledgeable, experienced and capable when it comes to quickly building and maintaining lasting professional relationships with them. She thrives on seeing clients achieve their goals and is passionate about health and wellness. Siobhan teaches exclusively at oranj, while giving back to the community as a member of the board Board at United Way and Chair of Gennext. By day she is a commercial account manager for BMO Bank of Montreal, where she also helps her business clients succeed.

Sonya Gregov

A lifelong resident of Kelowna, Sonyas passion for fitness began 10 years ago when she started women's soccer, and discovered that if she wanted to keep on the team she would have to increase her fitness level. She certainly did not love working out, but she started running and soon she was able to do things she never thought of doing years before. Sonya became more curious about how to lift weights, started cross training, and before she knew it she was having fun getting fit! Each new goal she met was rewarding and helped her confidence on and off the field. Since then, she has dedicated her life to educating herself in physiology and the science of nutrition and fitness. Sonyas new goal is help others feel strong, healthy and powerful in their lives. She strongly believes that when we feel good about ourselves and respect our health, we can give back to those around us. Sonya is looking forward to having you in her classes so you can have fun while she motivates you to achieve your goals! You deserve to be in the best shape of your life, and she will help you push past your boundaries in her boot camp, spin and barre classes at oranj.

Tamara Logan

Tamara was a single mother who loved to move her body, and believes that movement carried her through some touch times. She met Alice at Bellyfit and was instantly lit up. Tamara attended her first Bellyfit training and was beyond moved, as it was transformational. Three trainings later she was able to teach, and teach she did. She has been teaching for four years now and is honoured to be a master trainer in Bellyfit, teaching and inspiring other women to do the same. Tamara also began teaching yoga five years ago and feels empowered by the movement and challenges it offers her every day. Tamara offers yoga classes and Bellyfit at oranj, including the Bellyfit GROOVE method – a ridiculously fun way to move your body, feel sensational and get a great workout. If Tam were a super hero, her power would be to cause great giddiness and joy, while inspiring self confidence and making people DANCE!

Tina Mandl

Tina started dancing when she was growing up in Smithers, British Columbia and fell in love immediately. She has studied many different disciplines including ballet, jazz, tap, musical theatre and modern, while excelling in hip-hop and contemporary dances. Tina started competing and student teaching when she was 13 and shortly after moved to Kelowna where she trained with Reflections Dance Studio and danced through high school at Kelowna Secondary School (KSS), where she also took on the role of dance team captain in her senior years. Since graduating, Tina has been a guest instructor and choreographer for the KSS dance team as well as for recreational classes. She traveled to Israel during the summer of 2008 to teach jazz and musical theater for a summer dance school in Tel Aviv. In September 2010 Tina completed her Zumba training, and in 2011 finished her Maya Yoga teacher training. She is also the dance manager for the local production company Wet Ape Productions, as well as the founder and producer of Femme Fatale Dance Troupe. Tina is the owner of oranj fitness Kelowna, where she teaches Sexy Dance Time and Barre Method.

Tammy Thomas

2013 marks Tammys tenth year living in Kelowna, and she is finally here to stay! After playing volleyball at a professional level, she decided to do her personal training certification so she could train athletes at the level required to really get results and help decrease injuries. After having many fitness trainers as a professional athlete, Tammy has found that the best trainers are able to challenge people but also make the workouts fun and engaging to keep students back for more. So this is what she tries and do each time she teaches. She enjoys the challenge of coming up with new and exciting workouts that will get you feeling good. She calls it "Feel Good Fitness!!" You will feel good during the workout, and then a again a few days later, after the soreness goes away. Tammy continues to play in volleyball events and challenge herself athletically, but feels the real challenge we all have is keeping fit and healthy in sport and life. She teaches spin and boot camp at oranj, and cannot wait to kick your butt!

Jonny Karrol

Jonny started his yoga adventure in 2010.  Initially just for the flexibility, and because he wanted to do sweet moves like handstands.  He was traveling in a rock band, feeding an insatiable ego when he came to realize how much more to a a yoga practice there could be then just the postures.  Through his yoga practice he started gaining clarity.  Freedom!  It was like seeing the world for the first time, he describes.  This realization took him all the way to California where he studied classical ashtanga yoga with his guru, Baba Hari Dass.  He began to see himself moving through patterns he had always been unconscious of.  This self-reflection was difficult, but as Baba Hari Dass wrote "once you see it, you can change it."  After confronting some of his destructive routines he came out stronger.  After learning to love himself unconditionally he couldn't help but love everything unconditionally.  He still loves arm balances and advancing his yoga practice but also loves music, laughing, and teaching.  Now he realizes that everyone has good days and bad days but that's all part of the story.  While he's here he hopes to inspire positivity and have some fun along the way.  He enjoys challenging his students to grow physically and personally.  Physically, by safely pushing boundaries with dynamic movements and encouraging challenging postures.  Personally by reducing stress, sharpening focus, and promoting awareness.

Kaitlyn McKay

Kaitlyn is entering her 4th year Human Kinetics majoring in Health Promotion studies at UBCO and has always had a passion for health and fitness.  She is completing half of her 4th year at Arizona State University to further her education in health and wellness and nutrition.  She has completed her Group Fitness and Barre certifications.  Aside from working up front and teaching spin, Kaitlyn can be found in any of Oranj's unreal classes!  She also teaches dance, basketball, and sports camps for the City of Kelowna.  Kaitlyn has played basketball her entire life competing at the BC Summer Games and playing on BC Regional and Provincial teams.  Kaitlyn has also been a dancer since the age of 3 dancing for the Canadian School of Ballet, Pacific Interior School of Dance, and Reflections Dance Studio.  Kaitlyn is currently part of the amazing Femme Fatale dance group. Come check her out for spin on Wednesdays and Sundays at 9:15!!  She promises you will leave sweaty and smiling!!!
